Housebreak In & Theft, Buxton Avenue, Oranjezicht @ 09:47 on the 22nd September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a panic alarm from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the neighbour had pressed the panic button as the premises had been burgled. As per the neighbour, the alarm was not functioning properly when she wanted to disarm it. When entering the premises, she found it had been ransacked. Upon exiting, the suspect also exited and pepper sprayed her in the face before fleeing. The suspect had gained access via the back toilet roof. SAPS were in attendance but it could not be established what was taken as the owners were not present.

Theft Out of Motor Vehicle, Maynard Street, Gardens @ 07:54 on the 23rd September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a vehicle had been broken into. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a spare wheel and two pillows were taken. SAPS were in attendance.

Our monitoring centre received a report from the AR that while patrolling, he found the back window of a dark grey Nissan smashed. There was no need for SAPS as the owner of the vehicle stated he would report the incident himself.

Attempted Housebreak In & Theft, Wilkinson Street, Gardens @ 15:59 on the 24th September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported there had been an intruder on the premises. A noise had been heard and upon investigation a male suspect was found trying to force the front door open with a crow bar. He fled when he was shouted at. SAPS were informed.

Trespassing, Derwent Road, Gardens @ 08:17 on the 26th September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting there was an intruder on the premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported he apprehended the intruder who was scratching in the dust bins. The intruder had entered the property via the entrance gate that was standing open to look in the bins if anything could be salvaged. There was no need for SAPS as the client stated nothing was taken and the intruder could be released.

Attempted Theft Out of Motor Vehicle, Queens Road, Tamboerskloof @ 17:15 on the 26th September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a suspect had been apprehended attempting to break into a vehicle. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the suspect had fled the scene. The client stated he would provide camera footage for the AR to be on the lookout for the suspect.

Malicious Damage to Property, Kloofnek Road, Tamboerskloof @ 19:59 on the 26th September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting AR to inspect a premises where the lights were on and the upstairs windows open as the premises should not be occupied. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a window at the bottom was broken and the burglar bars damaged. It was found that access had been gained via the back gate which had been cut. As per the client, nothing was taken from the premises – it seemed it was being used for sleeping purposes only.

Common Theft, Vriende Street, Gardens @ 02:17 on the 28th September 2023. Our monitoring centre received a call from an on-site security officer reporting that his personal cell phone and the company cell phone were taken from the security hut. As per camera footage, the suspect took the items through a window that could not lock. The panic button was pressed but no signals were received. There was no need for SAPS as the incident had been reported.
