Attempted Housebreak In & Theft, Firdale Avenue, Gardens @ 19:26 on the 26th August 2023. Our monitoring centre received an alert of a break in. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the garage had been opened but nothing was taken as per the tenant. There was no need for SAPS and AR was asked to conduct patrols.

Malicious Damage to Property, Breda Street, Gardens @ 03:07 on the 27th August 2023. Our monitoring centre received a report from the AR that the rear window of a white GWM had been smashed. It was unknown to whom the vehicle belonged to and if anything had been taken.

Fire, Buitenkant Street, Gardens @ 21:51 on the 27th August 2023. Our monitoring centre received a panic alarm from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the building was on fire. All Emergency Services were on scene. The surrounding streets had been cordoned off and the building was evacuated successfully.

Arrest, Vredehoek Avenue, Vredehoek @ 03:53 on the 28th August 2023. Our monitoring centre received a report from the AR that three suspects were found on a premises. Two were apprehended and the other fled the scene. SAPS were dispatched and the suspects were taken into custody.

Attempted Hijacking, Bedford Street, Vredehoek @ 21:28 on the 30th August 2023. Our monitoring centre received a report of an attempted hijacking whereby five suspects in a white BMW tried to ambush a resident in the cul-de-sac. However, when they exited the vehicle, the resident spotted them, locked his vehicle and ran off dropping his house keys in the process. The suspects gave chase but could not catch him. The suspects attempted to open the car with the house keys but were unsuccessful and fled the scene in the white BMW. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.
