Theft Out of Motor Vehicle, Breda Street, Oranjezicht @ 07:45 on the 20th August 2022. Our monitoring centre received an alert via the neighbourhood watch that two suspects were seen breaking into a vehicle. AR, having been given a description of the suspects, was dispatched to the scene. En route AR caught one of the suspects in Hiddingh Avenue. As per the owner of the vehicle, a toolbox, a wheel brace, a bottle of anti-freeze and a bag were taken from the vehicle which had been unlocked. Only the anti-freeze was recovered from the one suspect as the second suspect had fled. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was taken into custody.

Housebreak In & Theft, Martin Hammerschlag Way, Foreshore @ 11:57 on the 20th August 2022. Our monitoring centre received a burglar alarm from a premises. When calling, the client stated the premises had been burgled the previous evening at about 22:00 as seen on camera. No alarm signals were received as that part of the building was not covered by the alarm system. The four suspects returned at 06:00 to take more things. The client requested AR to check the premises and then leave. SAPS were declined. AR was dispatched and an all- round check was conducted.

Theft / Arrest, Derry Street, Vredehoek @ 11:23 on the 23rd August 2022. Our monitoring centre received a request for assistance from the neighbourhood watch. AR was dispatched and on arrival apprehended two suspects who had stolen goods from the charity store on the premises. SAPS were dispatched and the suspects were taken into custody.

Housebreak In & Theft, Yeoville Road, Vredehoek @ 13:03 on the 24th August 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance as they had been burgled. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported one of the workers had taken a lap top, an antique watch, paint, grass cutters and a knife. SAPS were informed.

Housebreak In & Theft, Pypies Square, Devils Peak @ 05:53 on the 25th August 2022. Our monitoring centre received a burglar alarm from a premises. When calling, the client confirmed there was an intruder on the premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the suspect had fled and dropped the bag of items he had taken. There was no need for SAPS as the client would report the incident himself.
