Dear Valued CBAR clients,
With the increase in the number of households and businesses that are using 3rd party off-site camera monitoring companies to monitor their cameras, we wish to advise the following;
Our Monitoring Centre is receiving calls from 3rd party off-site monitoring companies asking for the Armed Reaction to be dispatched to an address without us being aware of any cameras being monitored.
Part of working with 3rd party monitoring companies involves the exchange of client codes and personal information telephonically. This is standard operating procedure.
However, in some instances, clients are having cameras linked to 3rd party companies without informing CBAR in writing. We therefore do not have the clients consent to exchange information, nor to dispatch Armed Reaction.
Kindly ensure that you inform CBAR in writing of any off-site monitoring that you expect the Armed Reaction may be dispatched to. Please include the name of the service provider and their contact details. We need to update our special dispatch instructions on your monitoring profile. This is to be emailed to customerservice@cbar.co.za . Excessive camera dispatches may result in additional monthly billing.
