Fuel Price Increase

                                                                                                                          29 July 2013

Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Fuel Levy increase

City Bowl Armed Response cc (CBAR) has for the past 14 years provided our clients and members of the community with a professional, ethical and highly visible level of security.

It is our company policy to provide clients with a monitoring and armed reaction service that is required by SAIDSA (The South African Intruder Detection Service Association).  We believe that over and above the monitoring and reaction services provided, a large portion of our security is provided by our ever patrolling armed reaction fleet. This serves as a strong deterrent to the criminal element operating within our area of operation. Each of our vehicles covers approximately 120km within our 6.5km2 area over a 24hr period. The majority of which is spent patrolling, between alarm callouts.

As you know the cost of fuel has been increasing dramatically on an almost monthly basis and CBAR has since our first fuel increase in April 2012 absorbed all associated increase costs.  CBAR will therefore be charging an additional minimal monthly fuel levy of R8.50 + vat = R9.70 per client effective 1st September 2013.  This will help reduce the significant increase in operating costs and allow us to continue providing the invaluable patrols conducted by our fleet.

The increase is done with regret and does not affect our monitoring only clients

Yours sincerely
