Week 28: 4th July 2025 to 11th July 2025

Malicious Damage to Property, Longmarket Street, Bo-Kaap @ 00:04 on the 8th July 2025. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting that a vehicle's alarm had activated after a loud smash was heard. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the window of a rented Audi A1 vehicle was broken. There were no suspects seen and it could not be confirmed at the time if anything had been stolen. SAPS were dispatched but failed to arrive.

Trespassing and Arrest, Chesterfield and Marmion Road, Oranjezicht @ 05:17 on the 10th July 2025. Our monitoring centre received an alert of a person that was seen jumping over a wall into a property. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported after a long search of the area was done, the suspect was caught and detained. The suspect was found to be in possession of stolen property that had been taken in a house-breaking prior to this. The suspect was positively linked to that case as well. SAPS were in attendance and the suspect was taken into custody.
