Fire, Cnr Sidmouth Avenue and Upper Orange Street, Oranjezicht @ 17:43 on the 13th June 2025. Our monitoring centre received an alarm activation from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a fire at the premises. The Fire Department was dispatched and the fire was extinguished. As per a witness, the fire was started by a displaced person.

Common Theft, Belmont Avenue, Oranjezicht @ 07:51 on the 14th June 2025. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a theft. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the client had painters on the property the previous day. The client only noticed after they had departed that his laptop, a handbag containing the house keys and keys to two vehicles and a few other items were missing. The laptop was traced to Cape Town train station and thereafter Khayelitsha. The incident was only reported when the painters returned to work. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.

Theft Out of Motor Vehicle, Virginia Avenue, Vredehoek @ 11:26 on the 15th June 2025. Our monitoring centre received a camera alert of a suspicious male walking in the street and then opening the boot of a white vehicle and removing items from it. The camera response vehicle was dispatched but the suspect could not be located. The owner of the vehicle confirmed it had not been locked and was uncertain as to what was taken.
