Dispute, Martin Hammerschlag Way, Foreshore @ 17:14 on the 4th October 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting AR. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported some guests were wanting to check out with items that did not belong to them. SAPS were in attendance and explained to the guests that the items could not be removed.

Common Theft, De Hoop Avenue, Tamboerskloof @ 15:42 on the 6th October 2024. Our monitoring centre received an alarm activation as well as a camera alert of a suspect entering a property. AR was dispatched and while on route a suspect matching the description was apprehended in Hastings Street. The client stated nothing seemed to have been stolen from the premises. A resident in Hastings Street identified the same suspect as the person that had stolen a chair from his premises previously. As a case had been opened for theft of the chair, SAPS were called to the scene. The suspect was handed over and the resident informed SAPS about the outstanding case for the chair. The suspect was taken into custody to be charged accordingly.

Armed Robbery, Eaton Road, Gardens @ 06:15 on the 7th October 2024. Our monitoring centre received a panic alarm activation from a premises and the client confirmed there were builders on site. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported one of the builders was robbed. As per the builder, three males approached him with a knife and demanded tools. They managed to take two grinders before fleeing. AR did a patrol in the area but the suspects could not be located. SAPS were informed but the builder said he would go to the station to report the matter and to open a case himself.

House Break In & Theft, Delphinium Street, Devil Peak @ 21:04 on the 8th October 2024. Our monitoring centre received a panic alarm activation from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival the client confirmed a break-in had occurred whilst he was out. Upon his return home he had found the rear window open and the back door broken open. The suspect/s opened all the drawers in the bedroom and threw items on the floor. It could not be established what all was taken besides a laptop that was missing. SAPS were informed.

House Fire, Gladiolus Avenue, Devils Peak @ 21:52 on the on the 8th October 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a premises was on fire. AR and Emergency Services were dispatched. On arrival AR reported the fire was on the second floor of the premises. The cause thereof had not been established yet. No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished.

Common Theft, Wexford Road, Vredehoek @ 09H55 on the 9th October 2024. Our monitoring centre received a camera alert with an image of a suspect that had stolen a bicycle. The camera response vehicle and the shift supervisor immediately started to conduct a search for the assailant. A few minutes later the camera response vehicle stated that he had eyes on the suspect with the bicycle in Darling Street. The shift supervisor went to assist. The camera response member stopped the suspect and held him for questioning. The Law Enforcement also arrived on scene at that time. The suspect and the bicycle were taken to the SAPS station where a case was opened. The social services had to be involved as the suspect stated that he was a minor of 13 years of age.
