Week 35: 23 August 2024 to 30 August 2024

Theft, De Lorentz Street, Gardens @14:50 on the 24th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received an alarm activation from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival met the neighbour on site who was looking after the premises as the client was away. The neighbour had noticed water coming from the driveway and went to investigate. When he entered the property, he found a tap had been stolen. The water was shut off and SAPS were informed.

Housebreak In & Theft, Sir Lowry Road, Woodstock @ 01:26 on the 26th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received an alarm activation from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival found the front door and security gate forced open and two laptops had been stolen. SAPS were informed.

Housebreak In & Theft, Upper Orange Street, Gardens @ 00:44 on the 27th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting footsteps could be heard on the property. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported that the front window had been broken. A search was done of the premises but no suspects could be located. A cash register and camera system had been stolen. SAPS were in attendance.

Attempted Housebreak In & Theft, Gladiolus Avenue, Devils Peak @ 09:21 on the 27th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received an alarm activation from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival found a suspect at the back of the premises trying to gain entry into the house. The suspect was apprehended by the officer and the client confirmed that no entry was gained into the house – only the side gate had been damaged by the suspect. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was taken into custody.

Housebreak In & Theft, Exner Avenue, Vredehoek @ 14:54 on the 27th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received a panic alarm activation from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival apprehended a suspect inside the premises. The suspect had gained entry via a side window that was opened and the burglar bars had been pushed in. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was taken into custody.
