Shoplifting, Cnr Kloof and Firdale Road, Gardens @ 14:20 on the 30th March 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a person has been caught shoplifting. AR was dispatched and on arrival requested SAPS. SAPS were dispatched and took the person into custody.

Malicious Damage to Property, New Market Street, Woodstock @ 11:46 on the 31st March 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a tenant had forced the roller shutter door open of a space he had rented, thus causing damage. The tenant refused to pay for the damages and a case was opened against him.

House Break In & Theft, Upper Maynard Street, Gardens @ 08:11 on the 2nd April 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a break in. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the outside side gate lock was cut off by the suspect/s and the front door and security gate were broken to gain access. No alarm signals were received. Upon inspection the safe was found standing open with the safe keys in the lock. Only cash from the safe and a few boxes of shoes were stolen. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.

Attempted House Break In, New Market Street, Woodstock @ 02:15 on the 3rd April 2024. Our monitoring centre received multiple alarm activations from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported that a window was open at the back of the premises but because it was too far, they could not establish if the window was broken and requested a key holder come out. On opening the premises, it was discovered that the suspect had gained entry via the window. Nothing seemed to have been stolen. It appeared that the suspect had fled out the kitchen window in the fore-court area and climbed onto the roof from there. A hammer was used in the crime and left in the office. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.

Malicious Damage to Property, Hof Street, Gardens @ 03:05 on the 3rd April 2024. Our monitoring centre received a camera alert showing two suspicious individuals throwing something at a vehicle’s window. AR was dispatched an on arrival apprehended the suspects. The owner of the white VW Polo TSI requested SAPS. SAPS were dispatched and both males were taken into custody.
