Malicious Damage to Property, Upper Buitenkant Street, Gardens @ 09:33 on the 6th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a vehicle’s windows had been smashed. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the back window of a white Citroen was smashed. SAPS were in attendance.

Shoplifting, Cnr Kloof & Firdale Road, Gardens @ 22:46 on the 6th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received an alert of a robbery in progress. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a suspect had been apprehended with a bottle of wine in his possession by the on-site security. The other two suspects had fled in a black Polo. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was taken into custody.

Housebreak In & Theft, New Church Street, Cape Town @ 00:12 on the 9th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received multiple burglar alarms from a premises. AR was dispatched and while en route, the client confirmed a suspect was seen inside the premises via camera footage. The suspect had gained access via a window on Bree Street. On arrival AR apprehended the suspect when he jumped out of the bathroom window at the back of the premises. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was taken into custody.

Housebreak In & Theft, Lion Street, Bo Kaap @ 04:32 on the 9th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting AR as they were being burgled. No alarm signals were received. The alarm had activated earlier at the neighbouring premises and AR reported upon inspection they had found the electric fence of the burgled premises had been lifted and requested a key holder. Numerous attempts were made to inform the client but to no avail. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported two of four suspects were apprehended. Access was gained via the damaged electrical fence. Various items were taken, some of which were retrieved from the suspects. SAPS were dispatched and the suspects were taken into custody.

Wednesday 11th May 2022 – Dayshift Theft Out of Motor Vehicle, Virginia Avenue, Vredehoek @ 15:32 on the 11th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call from a public member requesting assistance as three suspicious males – one carrying what looked like a golf club – were looking into a red Toyota Yaris. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the vehicle had been broken into. The back passenger window was smashed. As per the owner, a tablet and a power bank were taken. SAPS were informed.

Medical, Cnr Vredehoek Avenue & Maynard Street, Vredehoek @ 10:28 on the 12th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a report from the AR that a female was having an epileptic seizure. Medic 1 was dispatched and on arrival reported Emergency Services were already on scene. The 50 year old patient, a confirmed epileptic sufferer, had hit her head when she fell. She refused treatment or to be transported to the hospital.

Common Theft, Belle Ombre Road, Tamboerskloof @13:03 on the 12th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting AR. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the client had caught a suspect picking lemons from his trees. The client requested SAPS and on their arrival did not open a case. He only wanted SAPS to take the suspect away.

Housebreak In & Theft, Molteno Road, Oranjezicht @ 16:54 on the 12th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a premises had been burgled. The alarm had activated earlier and AR reported a front and side visual check had been done and there were a few windows open of which the client was informed. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported there were no signs of forced entry and it could not be established what was taken. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.

Common Theft, Cnr Capel and Fitzherberbet Road, Highlands Estate @ 16:55 on the 12th May 2022. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a suspicious male on the corner of Rocklands Avenue. AR was dispatched and on arrival apprehended two suspects who had proteas in their possession. They had picked them from the mountain. SanParks and SAPS were dispatched and the suspects were handed over to SanParks.
