Theft Out of Motor Vehicle, Cairnmount Avenue, Higgovale @ 07:50 on the 21st August 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a vehicle had been broken into. The suspect, wearing a blue overall and carrying a black bag had fled the scene. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the left back window of a silver Renault Clio was smashed. Items taken were bank cards, driver’s licence and a cap. SAPS were informed but the client stated he would report the incident himself.

Housebreak In & Theft, Hout Street, Cape Town @ 13:56 on the 21st August 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting AR to do a thorough check of the premises as camera footage showed four intruders outside the building and it was suspected they may have entered and be hiding somewhere inside. AR was dispatched and reported the entire building was checked. There was no sign of intruders, however, they did find drawers standing open and missing computer boxes. The client stated she would inform SAPS herself. The alarm had activated the previous evening and the AR had reported an internal glass door on the second floor had been smashed. It could not be reached as the outer door required an access tag to gain entry. The key holder could not be reached and an SMS notification was sent informing them of the AR’s findings.

Trespassing, Exner Avenue, Vredehoek @ 06:50 on the 22nd August 2021. Our monitoring centre received a burglar alarm from a premises. When calling, the client confirmed there was an intruder on the property. AR was dispatched and confirmed a suspect matching the description given was apprehended on the corner of Noordelik and Derry Street. SAPS were informed but the client declined laying a charge and the suspect was released.

Malicious Damage to Property, Higgo Road, Higgovale @ 17:12 on the 22nd August 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting two males were seen entering the complex and it was not sure how they had gained access. When questioning the suspects, they claimed they were selling wheels. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the suspects had broken the driveway gate to gain access and were deterred from breaking into the units when questioned. They fled in a white or silver Polo. SAPS were informed.

Theft, Wichtsingel Street, Zonnebloem @ 09:02 on the 23rd August 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a burglary at the electrical cable junction box. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the suspects stole the cables from the electrical junction box situated on the side of the building. The client replaced the locks on the box and requested extra patrols.

Theft, Upper Buitenkant Street, Gardens @ 15:25 on the 25th August 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a staff member’s cell phone had been stolen. As per the camera footage, a female wearing a white coat was seen entering the premises. She took a cell phone that was lying on the counter before exiting.
