Armed Robbery, Pinoak Street, Devils Peak @ 21:53 on the 10th July 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a robbery. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the client was watching television when they heard the kitchen window being smashed. The client went to investigate and saw four suspects entering the premises. One suspect had a firearm and aimed it at the client. The suspects had come from the mountain side and used a bolt cutter to open the back lock. The suspects took x2 laptops, x2 tablets, x4 wallets, a watch, a cell phone, headphones, a handbag and vehicle and house keys. They also removed the rings and jewellery from the client’s wife. No injuries were reported. SAPS and some neighbourhood watch members were in attendance.

Malicious Damage to Property, St John’s Street, Gardens @ 02:58 on the 12th July 2021. Our monitoring centre received a burglar alarm from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported a possible break in as the front window was smashed. Upon investigation it was found that no access was gained as a refrigerator blocked entry into the premises. There was no need for SAPS.

Housebreak In & Theft, Exner Avenue, Vredehoek @ 08:38 on the 12th July 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a premises had been burgled. The alarm had activated earlier at 04:14 and the AR had checked with the client and found all in order. It was only discovered later that the separate entrance was broken into. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the premises was under construction and a two-plate stove and some electrical equipment was taken. SAPS were informed.
