Housebreak In & Theft, Bridle Road, Oranjezicht @ 20:32 on the 2nd July 2021. Our monitoring centre received multiple alarm signals from a premises. The client confirmed she had been robbed. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported suspects had come from the mountain side at the back of the premises and forced themselves through the perimeter fence before entering the premises via the front door after breaking the glass with a rock. The suspects held the client in a stranglehold to remove her rings from her fingers and also took her handbag before fleeing. SAPS were in attendance.

Armed Robbery, Trek Road, Higgovale @ 21:22 on the 5th July 2021. Our monitoring centre received a burglar alarm signal from a premises. When calling a panic signal also came through and the client confirmed they had been robbed by four men. AR and SAPS were dispatched on arrival AR reported they checked the premises with SAPS but no visible point of entry could be established as there were no force marks on the door or fence. The client had taken the dog out when the four suspects were found on the premises. One was armed with a knife and they forced her back inside the house. The suspects took an I-phone, tablet, jewellery and also demanded the safe be opened and taking cash before fleeing. Some neighbourhood watch members were also in attendance.
