Attempted Housebreak In & Theft, Chelmsford Road, Vredehoek @ 13:35 on the 19th March 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting that someone attempted to open the garage door. AR was dispatched and confirmed there was damage to the door. SAPS were informed.

Malicious Damage to Property, Breda Street, Gardens @ 23:57 on the 19th March 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call of a vehicle parked in the street which had been broken into. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the back window of a silver Landrover was smashed. It was not known to whom the vehicle belonged to.

Housebreak In & Theft, Rose Street, Bo Kaap on the 20th March 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting there had been an intruder on the premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the suspect had climbed up the wall and entered through an upstairs window taking an I-Phone 11. The client woke up and fought with the intruder who then fell out the window and ran away. There was no need for SAPS as the client would report the incident.

Attempted Theft, Nansen Street, Observatory @ 20:26 on the 20th March 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the on-site security officer had caught a suspect trying to steal the outside light of a premises. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was taken into custody.

Assault, Albert Road, Woodstock @ 18:44 on the 21st March 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a member of the public was assaulting an on-site security officer of a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported an argument had ensured when the security officer had informed the public member to wear a mask before entering the premises. The public member had refused and then thrown a bottle at the officer’s face. SAPS were in attendance. No charges were laid, however the assailant would pay the medical bill.

Fire, Chelmsford Road, Vredehoek @ 01:16 on the 23rd March 2021. Our monitoring centre a call reporting there had been an explosion. AR was dispatched and on arrival requested the Fire Department as a garage was burning. It was found that a gas tank had exploded thus causing the fire.

Armed Robbery, Frank Avenue, Highlands Estate @ 21:21 on the 24th March 2021. Our monitoring centre received multiple alarm signals from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the premises had been burgled and the client’s wife injured. Access was gained via the back fence where a hole had been cut. The beam next to the access point had been covered by a cloth to prevent the alarm from triggering. As per the client, his wife was about to lock the security gates in the upstairs dining room when she was accosted by three male suspects. One of the suspects pushed her down to the ground when she screamed thus hurting her right arm in the process. Her husband and son who were downstairs rushed upstairs to her aid. The suspects threatened them with a knife, a firearm and metal rod and told them lie down on the ground. The knife wielding suspect guarded them while the other two ransacked the house. They took x2 wallets, a Huawei cellular phone, x2 Dell laptops, jewellery and a metal box containing cash money before fleeing. The client and his family managed to escape the room where they were locked in and raised the alarm. SAPS and Emergency Services were in attendance.

Common Theft, Buxton Avenue, Oranjezicht @ 10:26 on the 25th March 2021. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a burglary. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported two outside umbrellas had been stolen from the property. SAPS were in attendance.
