Common Theft, Montrose Avenue, Oranjezicht @ 14:33 on the 1st December 2018. Our monitoring centre received multiple panic alarms from a premises. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the garage had been burgled. Suspect had gained access over the electric fence and entered the garage via a side door. Suspect then removed the combination lock from a racing bicycle valued at R130 000.00 and exited out the garage door. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.

Arrest, Albert Road, Woodstock @ 03:33 on the 2nd December 2018. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting there was someone on the roof of a premises and another person on a bicycle. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported SAPS were on scene and had apprehended the suspect who had tried to break in at the neighbouring premises.

AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the front window had been smashed but confirmed no access could be gained, however suspect may have reached in and grabbed items.

Malicious Damage to Property, Long Street, Cape Town @ 11:34 on the 3rd December 2018. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported that when the client arrived at the premises it was found that the front display window had been smashed. Nothing was taken and the neighbouring shops’ windows were also smashed. It was also stated that inebriated cyclists were arrested the night before in front of the premises and it was not certain if the incidents were related.

Housebreak In & Theft, Justice Walk, Zonnebloem @ 19:20 on the 6th December 2018. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported when the tenant had arrived home he found a suspect trying to force open the bedroom burglar bars. The tenant shouted at the suspect and then chased him when he fled. Upon returning home after the chase it was found that a cell phone, hair straightener and hair dryer were missing. SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.
